Pokemon Astral Radiance is the tenth Sword & Shield Series expansion of the Pokemon Trading Card Game and was released on May 27, 2022. Pokemon Astral Radiance was released in Japan on April 8, 2022 as the dual Time Gazer and Space Juggler that make up the tenth expansion of the Pokemon Card Game Sword & Shield Era.
Pokemon Astral Radiance consists of cards taken from the Japanese Time Gazer and Space Juggler expansions, the Battle Region subset, and some remaining cards from the VMAX Climax subset. This Pokemon set is the perfect addition to your Pokemon collection. With the Sword & Shield Astral Radiance, you'll discover an entirely new world that you can explore starting May 27, 2022.
Sword & Shield Astral Radiance is set in Hisui
The Astral Radiance expansion focuses on the Origin Forms of the legendary Pokemon Dialga and Palkia, which first appeared in the title of the core Pokemon Legends series: Arceus. In the Sword & Shield Astral Radiance set, the two are included as Pokemon V and Pokemon VSTAR cards. The Pokemon Astral Radiance expansion also features previously unknown Pokemon from the Hisui region, including a number of different regional forms. The latest evolutions of the Hisui starting Pokemon, Decidueye, Typhlosion and Samurott, are all depicted on Pokemon V and Pokemon VSTAR cards in their regional forms.
Astral Radiance introduces a sparkling Pokemon, which work similarly to the shining Pokemon from the Neo series and Pokemon star from the EX series. Sparkling Pokemon are all basic Pokemon that portray the shiny form of a type of Pokemon and have a rule box stating that only one copy can be included in a deck.
The expansion also includes another Trainer Gallery subset, which includes more Full Art reprints of a Pokemon in addition to a trainer. Each Pokemon Astral Radiance booster pack contains ten cards from the expansion, a code card for use with the Pokemon Trading Card Game Live, and a basic energy card or a VSTAR marker card.
