The Pokemon Company is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and we’ve had a lot of new and crazy announcements so far. We just recently got news about the highly-anticipated Pokemon 25th Anniversary Set. The set will be called "Celebrations". Take this as a brief warning; you'll go nuts reading this information, many Pokéfans are hyped about this and you will be too once you get to know what all the fuzz is about.
Since last year, players have been speculating over this 25th Anniversary set. Many thought the company would put out some old gimmicks like Evolutions, but no, they outdid themselves this year. We will now be getting some of the most iconic mechanics from over the last 25 years back!
For example, we will now have Dark and Light Pokemon, Delta Species (δ) Pokemon and Pokemon Star cards like Dark Sylveon V, Light Toxtricity, Mimikyu δ, Dragapult Prime, and Zacian LV.X. We will also have some Gold Star cards which are one of the rarest cards in Pokémon TCG.
The main 25th Anniversary Celebrations set will consist of:
- 45 cards
- 4 Pokemon V cards
- 2 Pokemon VMAX cards
- 25 classic Pokemon cards including remakes of Base Set Charizard, Umbreon and Tapu Lele-GX
Expect some Legendary and Mythical Pokemon as well.
The most exciting part is the 25 card subset which will include some of the classic cards. So in a way, these will be a Blast from the Past. This set will be called the classics collection and contain reprints of some of the most iconic and famous Pokemon cards of all time. All these cards will have a 25th-anniversary stamp on them.

Pokemon 25th Anniversary Celebrations: Dragapult Prime
At first sight, we see the great Dragapult as the main theme of the collection box, and to be honest, it looks fantastic. The product will have one foil promo card and one oversize foil card featuring the one and only Dragapult Prime in all its glory. Each Dragapult Prime collection box will also contain two Celebrations four-card booster packs. Apart from this, the product will also contain one additional Pokemon TCG booster pack, a four-pocket binder to hold your cards, and one anniversary-themed coin.

Pokemon 25th Anniversary Celebrations: Lance's Charizard V & Dark Sylveon V
This collection box features Lance’s Charizard V or Dark Sylveon V. The product contains one foil promo card and one oversize foil card featuring Lance’s Charizard V or Dark Sylveon V. It will also have four celebrations booster packs and two additional TCG booster packs.

Pokemon 25th Anniversary Celebrations: Elite Trainer Box
As usual, the demand for the elite trainer box will be very high as with every set release. The product will contain 10 Celebrations four-card booster packs, five additional Pokemon TCG Booster Packs, one special foil card featuring Greninja, 25th anniversary-themed card sleeves, 45 energy cards, a players guide to the expansion set, a TCG rulebook, six damage counter dice, one competition legal coin-flip die and two condition markers.
